I continued today, the exercise of painting a scene in color from a Roman Vishniac 1938 black and white photograph. The man with the cart belongs to the Jewish porters artel which was a cooperative venture. Vishniac's photograph is beautiful. Copyright Mara Vishniac Kohn.
