THe wild sunflowers are everywhere in the Loess Hills. Fields of them and single stalks along the road. "Recording" them today was my goal.

Once again,you can see the road was carved through the loess soil. I used repeated washes to build up the "negative spaces" around the sunflower stalk and tried to keep to the large color masses to depict this scene.
